Contents.The context of the verse وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌVerse 51: And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, 'Indeed, he is mad.' وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَVerse 52: But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. Exegesis The verse refers to which is a kind of psychological effects and there is no rational reason to deny it. This meant that they want to make sick and die with special look. It also suggested that the verse is metonymy of very angry glances. It is like to say they look very furiously as if they want to kill.

In addition the grudges of disbeliever lead them to contradiction. On the one hand they understand the importance of Quran insofar as they desire the destruction of Islamic Prophet, on the other hand they accuse him of madness. See also.References.
